Georgia Wai Foon Lowe

Georgia graduated with a BBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Masters of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. As well as her studies Georgia worked in several Systems Analyst/Programmer positions in HK, Sweden and New Zealand, and was a tutor in Information Systems. Georgia joined Vernon Systems in 1987 having worked with Bil Vernon at NZI Bank (previously Marac Holdings Ltd).


Paul Rowe

Joint CEO

Portrait of PaulPaul studied an Advanced Certificate in Business Computing at Auckland Institute of Technology (AUT) graduating top of his year. In 1990 he joined Vernon Systems as an Analyst/Programmer. From 1995 to 1999 he was based in the UK, developing a love for travel while providing an invaluable presence for Vernon there. He is a keen caver and a long term member of the Auckland Speleo Group.

Bil Vernon

Director

Portrait of Bil VernonAfter graduating with a BCom from the University of Auckland Bil worked with Beecham Group, London, John Hoskyns & Co, AHI Computer Services, Arthur Young & Co, Jarvie Ferris and Marac Holdings Ltd holding various senior positions such as Computer Audit Specialist and Group Systems Manager. In 1985 he established Vernon Systems.

 

Matthew Crozier

Development Manager

Matthew joined Vernon Systems as an Analyst/Programmer in 1988 directly after graduating with a BSc from the University of Auckland. He did a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics.

 

 

Victoria Hemingway

Office Manager

Victoria joined Vernon Systems as the Office Manager in 2004. She has worked in a variety of office management positions since graduating from the University of Auckland with a BCom.

 

 

Darren Scott

Senior Software Developer

Portrait of DarrenDarren heads the Development Team working on web based design, and is busy at the moment creating the structure behind eHive. He has extensive experience in software development and is putting it all to the test right now building intricate and exciting functionality for eHive. Darren has been with Vernon Systems for four years.

 

Sandra Ward

Systems Consultant

Sandra completed a BA from the University of Auckland followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Museum Studies through Massey University. She has worked in museums since 1995, including Collection Management roles at the Waikato Coalfields Museum and the Museum of Transport and Technology. Sandra joined Vernon Systems Ltd in November 2005.

 

René Van Son

South Africa Systems Consultant

Portrait René René holds a BA in Museum Studies (Amsterdam) and has extensive experience of working in museums and other heritage cultural institutions, such as the Rijksmuseum, the Tropenmuseum and the Theatre Institute Nederland. Abbey Peters

Systems Consultant

Prior to moving to New Zealand, Abbey completed an Honours BA in Classics at Queen's University and a Masters of Museum Studies at the University of Toronto. She has worked in museums in New Zealand, Canada and Russia, focussing on collections management and exhibition development. Abbey joined Vernon in November 2006.

 

Maria Lempriere

Marketing Manager

Portrait MariaMaria joined Vernon Systems in November 2006. She has brought to our team a wealth of experience in marketing, sales, project management and business development. A good portion of her life has been spent in London, Africa and at Sea working within the investment banking, oil and communications industries and more recently, in NZ, within the hospitality, health and gardening industries. Maria is passionate about emerging NZ made products, trends and promoting artisans of NZ abroad.

 

Zoë Hill

UK Systems Consultant

 Zoë HillZoë joined Vernon Systems in March 2008. After completing her studies in German and English at Canterbury University, Zoë went on to work in various museums, large and small, across New Zealand, developing a passion for collection management. Zoë is now based in London, England.

 

Clare Robinson

Analyst / Programmer

Clare Robinson

Clare started as a Trainee Analyst Programmer with the New Zealand Government some time before dinosaurs ruled the earth, only just escaping the clutches of the card punch machine. From there she graduated to Database Administration, Systems Programming and Data Warehouse development in both Government and private industry. Recently she has been working in Digital Rights Management for Navman in the car navigation area. Clare has come full circle and joined Vernon in July 2009 as an Analyst / Programmer.

 

Fiona Moorhead

Systems Consultant

Fiona MoorheadFiona holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Museum Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and English Language. She has worked for cultural heritage institutions around New Zealand and is particularly interested in how museums present themselves and their collections online. Fiona joined Vernon Systems in January 2010.

 

Colin Prinn

Colin PrinnColin joined Vernon Systems at the turn of the decade as an Analyst/Programmer. He is a confident developer with experience developing client and server applications, web portals and mobile phone solutions. He has a passion for best practises development, new technology and long walks in the park.

 

 

Max Mudu

Analyst / Programmer

Max MuduMax joined Vernon Systems in July 2010 as an Analyst/Programmer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in IT and Computing from the Open University and looks after the Vernon Browser and eHive systems. Max is passionate about Java Technologies, software development and spending time with his family.
