Vernon Access
Vernon Access is the latest addition to the Vernon suite of products. Created to meet accessioning and documentation requirements of smaller organisations, Vernon Access is designed with simplicity and flexibility in mind.
The system is based on Microsoft Access and is compatible with all recent versions of Access. The system offers an affordable collection management solution based on readily available database software - Access is included in the MS Office Professional suite of software.
The Vernon Access system includes three elements:
- The Vernon Access Collection Management Database
- The Procedures Manual: Accessioning for Small Museums
- The Historical Classification Scheme
With full multimedia capabilities, Vernon Access captures images, sound, video and scanned documents.
Vernon Access can be used to document a range of collection types such as Social History, Anthropology, Natural History, Numismatics, Photos and Prints, Publications and Works of Art.
