Object Views of Activities
When objects (or their parts - all the activities operate at part level) are linked to a management activity, the system automatically maintains on the object records notations of the management activities it is involved with. From this the system can produce window and report views of the activities which are linked to an object.
There are two perspectives. The first Management Activity view is by activity, and within that by date.
The second, Management Activity Schedule view, is presented by a cluster of related management activities, by the earliest date in that cluster and within that cluster the activities are shown chronologically (earliest to latest). Overlaps and unscheduled gaps between clusters are highlighted. You can configure the system as to which activities should not overlap within a cluster to identify their overlaps - but often these activities are concurrent. For example the loan lasts for the duration of an exhibition but the object should not normally be being conserved during the exhibition.
When viewing an object's management activities you can branch to any of these with a mouse-click and from there you can branch to any related activity or object.
