Online Help
Now, let's not pretend there's nothing to learn. Vernon CMS is about as user-friendly as a database gets, but it is also a sophisticated and multi-faceted management tool. You'll be able to use all of the basic functions of the system within a short time but there will be times when you'll need some help, and then our On-line Help and User Manual is available.
The Online Help and the User Manual were written by experienced Professional Registrars and a former Vernon CMS user, not by Developers. They're fully illustrated, written in plain language and are designed to be intuitive and comprehensive.
At any stage you can access either Window Help (a broad picture of what′s possible in a particular window), Field Help (specific instructions for the field you are in) or the Word Search (allowing you to search for any topic), as well as view Help contents topics and structure.
Vernon Systems also realises that not everyone speaks the 'lingo'. If you are aware that 'Retrieval' is the terminology we use for finding specific data in the system you can search for ′Retrieval′, but you can also search for ′Looking′, ′Finding′ or ′Searching′. All of these words will take you to the instructions for retrieving data.
