If Vernon is replacing your previous computer system, most of the hard work will fall on us.
Vernon Systems has converted over a million records from mainframe, mini and PC based systems.
All we need is the data in one of several acceptable formats (including ANSI / ASCII, text,
Excel, Access, Advanced Revelation and Open Insight) and an understanding of its structure.
One of our technical staff will work closely with you, studying your data and proposing ways to ′
map′ it across from the existing system to Vernon′s relational structure. When you are satisfied
with the mapping process and all your data has found a home in one or the other of Vernon′s fields,
Vernon Systems will process the data conversion and deliver the system to you stocked with your
data and ready-to-run.
After installation and training there is usually a brief clean-up period, but you'll be able to start adding and editing data in existing records or creating new records immediately. During this time we′ll encourage you to ′work′ the system from all directions, looking for anomalies that need correcting. There are all the batch update tools to help you do this quickly and easily.
